Janssen Eric Yother


2404669Janssen Eric Yother, 49, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Janssen was born in Dallas, Texas on November 24, 1964 to J.T. and Marita Jo (Johnson) Yother. He grew up in Oak Cliff and graduated from Palmer High School. He then attended Ranger Junior College. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, maintained the equipment at DART, he also worked for the Texas MotorPlex in track operations. He and his brother Jayson were well known at the MotorPlex lovingly as Heavy C and Heavy D. He enjoyed race cars and college football, especially the Oklahoma Sooners. His favorite past-time was cooking Bar-b-queing on his “Pit”. He is survived by his mother, Jo Rogers and her husband, William Troy Rogers; one son, Tanner Yother; one sister, Joslyn and her husband, Mark Eaton; nieces and nephews: Jayson, Jr., Kelley Anne, Mackenzie, Ivy and Trista; his son’s mother, Dana Somers; his son’s half-sister, Amber Rangel and her four children; his son’s half-brother, Matthew Somers, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his father, J.T.; brother, Jayson Yother and nephew, Kyle Yother. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Wynnewood Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at 2 p.m. under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. A Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. come and go at 122 Rider Road, Ennis, Texas.
