Katie A. Denbow
Katie A. Denbow, 101, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Ennis, Texas. Katie was born in Mildred, Texas on November 15, 1911 to William C. and Florence Clements. She grew up in Mildred and graduated from Mildred Schools. In April of 1929 she married Clarence A. Denbow and they made their home in Corsicana, Texas then later moved to Ennis in 1946. She took care of her home and family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ennis and a longtime member of the Langston Bible Class. She was a talented woman who enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, gardening and crafts. She is survived by sons: Billy Denbow and his wife, Darleene and Bobby Denbow; four grandchildren: Mark Denbow, Brian Denbow, Lesa Tanisia and Paula Petraniwski; seven great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Billie Grammer. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence A. Denbow, grandson, David C. Denbow, one brother and five sisters. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Charles Paschall officiating.
