Lee Owens
Lee Owens, 66, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.
Lee was born on June 4, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Floyde H. and Elizabeth (Beavers) Owens. He grew up in Wilmer and Hutchins. On August 25, 1964 he married Virginia Rolison and they made their home in Ennis.
He worked for Matheson Tri-Gas for forty-three years as a service technician.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Rolison Owens; sons: Ronnie Owens and James Owens and his wife, Kimberly; three grandchildren: two great-grandchildren: two brothers: John F. Owens and James K. Owens and his wife Cheta; two sisters: Xan Gahan and her husband, Mike and Helen Shaver and her husband, Bill along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, D. C. Owens and sister Earlene Murrow.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
A Celebration of his life took place on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Cord Blankenship.
Interment followed in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
