Ricky Dean Anderson


Ricky Dean Anderson, 61, passed away in Rice, Texas on Monday, February 4, 2013. Ricky was born in Ennis, Texas on January 3, 1952 to Kenneth K. and Hazel L. (Sheets) Anderson. He grew up in Grapevine and Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1970. On July 31, 1999 he married Vickie Richardson Defoore and they made their home in Rice, Texas. He worked for Ennis Business Forms for over twenty years as a pressman. He served as president of the Pressmen’s Union for eight years, he was a member of the Shakers and Scraper’s Car Club of Corsicana and the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Corsicana. He loved and enjoyed his family and old cars. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Anderson; daughter, Brandy and her husband, Jeff Mills; granddaughter, Kyra Hatley: step-sons: Mark Defoore, Joshua Defoore and Jacob Defoore; his parents, Kenneth and Hazel Anderson and two sisters: Beverly Hoffman and Cathy and her husband, Willie Crawley. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Anderson and brother-in-law, Tommy Hoffman. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
