Rose Kelly Wagner
Rose Kelly Wagner, 85, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Ennis Care Center. Rose was born in Lake Worth, Texas on October 26, 1926 to Doyle and Bertha (Frost) Wilhite. She grew up in Carlton, Texas and graduated from Carlton High School in 1944. After graduation she married Elga Raymond Kelly in 1944 and was married to him until his death in 1973. She then married Ted Wagner on December 6, 1974. Rose worked for Ennis State Bank for over twenty eight years and also owned and operated the Playmates children’s store for more than ten years. She enjoyed working and being around people. She is survived by her husband, Ted Wagner of Ennis: daughter: Sharie and her husband, Gerald Cast of Arlington; step-daughters: Betty Wagner of Ennis, Clarissa and her husband, George Smith of Ennis; daughter-in-law: Helen Wagner of Rocket; grandson: Brian Cast of Scottsdale, AZ; step grandchildren: Bret Smith and his wife, Chelsea, of Ennis and Lacy and her husband Chad Johnson of Ennis and seven step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband E. R. Kelly. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Edward Ramsey officiating under the direction of J.E.
