Sarah Lewis

Sarah Lewis, 82, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 in Ennis, Texas. Sarah was born in Alliance, Ohio on Nov. 24, 1929 to William and Violet May (Goodballet) Talbott. She grew up in Seabring and graduated from Sebring High School. She married Cecil A. Lewis in 1951 after serving 20 years in service they retired to Cecil’s home town of Ennis in 1975. She served her country proudly in the United States Army working in the accounting department. She worked for the City of Ennis as an accountant and for the Ennis Daily News as an accountant. She is survived by one son, Michael Lewis of Ennis; one daughter, Violet Lewis-Lynch and her husband, Danny Lynch of Ennis; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother William E. Talbott Jr. of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Cecil Lewis Jr., one sister, Edna Wynland and one grandchild, Windy Lee Lynch. Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. Viewing was held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Laurel Land Funeral Home. Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at Laurel Land Cemetery of Dallas with Father officiating.
