Tony L. Guerrero
Tony L. Guerrero, 87, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 in Ennis, Texas. Tony was born in Frost, Texas on March 30, 1925 to Lupe and Belen (Castillo) Guerrero. He grew up in the Byrd-Rankin area and attended Central High Schools. On March 30, 1948 he married Amelia Mendez and they made their home in Byrd-Rankin before moving to Ennis in 1957. He worked for Armstrong Farms, Leggett and Platt and for Ennis Automotive for twenty-seven years. He was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis. He loved to raise roosters and work on cars. He is survived by his wife, Amelia Guerrero; six sons: Tony Guerrero Jr. and his wife, Martha of Ennis, Raul Guerrero of Ennis, Arthur Guerrero and his wife, Eva Mae of Dallas, Roy Guerrero and his wife, Stephone of Corsicana, Jessie Guerrero of Ennis and Desiderio Guerrero of Ennis; four daughters: Elisa Zapata of Ennis, Mary and her husband Joe Zambrano of Ennis, Belen Ozuna of Austin and Rita and her husband, Bobby Reese of Ennis; twenty-eight grandchildren: forty great-grandchildren: thirty great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Julia Bega of California. He is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Raymond Guerrero and one sister, Trina Lopez. Visitation will be on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. A Celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the J.E.
