The DRP Auto Body Hotshots lived up to their name this week at the TTAS District 4 Freshman Tournament, scorching their opponents by a 57-12 margin over four games to clinch the championship in Whitney on Thursday night.

While no team that didn’t hail from Ennis could hang with the Mow Pros Mustangs, DRP (16-2) had all the answers against the familiar foe in Thursday’s 14-2 victory. Both teams will be representing the EGSA at the TTAS Freshman State Tournament in Mineola later this month, marking the first time a pair of EGSA teams has played their way to state in the same division.
