After making Ennis Little League history last year by becoming the first Ennis team to win the Texas Teenage Baseball Association state championship, American Legion (4-2) claimed the junior boys’ league city championship and battled throughout the 15U TTAB state tournament to defend their title this year.

The city champions defeated Brownwood (1-2) in the first round and fell to the Stephenville Warriors (1-2) in the second round. They came back to defeat Anson Black (0-2) and Rasco (0-2) to continue their battle into Thursday and defeated the Miles Bulldogs (2-2) 17-2 in the first game of a double header.
