Lion basketball heads to 3-day tourney

The Ennis Lions boys basketball team kicks off the 2012-2013 season with a three-day tournament in Highland Park. The Lions will take to the court at 4:30 p.m. today to face Texas Christian Academy, Stephen F. Austin Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Midlothian at 9 a.m. Saturday.
“This tournament has always been tough. The year before we won it. Last year we got beat at the buzzer to go to the championship by Stephen F. Austin (5A),” head coach Jerry Mason said. “Those teams are back so all the competition in all three tournaments that we’re in will be very, very stiff. I want to win the tournament.”
