Lion football gets off to fast spring start

It’s not even fair to compare the 2011 version of Lion spring football to this year’s workouts, as the players enter their second year in the system of head coach Jack Alvarez with spring ball beginning last Monday.

“We are light years ahead of where we were last (spring during week one) in the offense,” Alvarez said. “There’s really no comparison to last spring. The kids have more confidence in what we’re doing and they know the terminology.
