Certainly Lion football players and coaches weren’t satisfied after Friday’s 56-43 loss to the host Mesquite Poteet Pirates, but the maroon team’s run offense was quite impressive.

Ennis (2-6, 1-5) trailed Poteet (6-3) by 29 points early in the fourth quarter, but kept plugging away to score twice in the final five minutes. While the Lions lost the turnover battle 2-1, they didn’t fumble the ball even once on a whopping 65 carries.
