Memphis, Grizzlies ready to ‘believe’ vs Spurs
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — The towels are showing up all around Memphis, hanging over neighborhood signs and even at a door to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The sentiment? Believe Memphis.
And the Grizzlies certainly do.
While the Grizzlies are down 0-2 to the San Antonio Spurs in their first Western Conference final, they dug themselves out of a 0-2 deficit in the first round against the Clippers. No NBA team has won separate series in the same postseason after trailing 0-2, but they see only opportunity at home where they have yet to lose this postseason.
Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph says they’ve got to have confidence and believe in themselves. He points out they trailed by 18 in Game 2 only to push the Spurs to overtime.
Game 3 is Saturday night.
