Shawn Johnson might be the youngest player on the Lion football team, but he’s been playing like an upperclassman so far this season.
The sophomore safety, who was born in Waxahachie and raised in Ennis, was actually the only freshman to play on Friday nights for Ennis in 2010. Despite missing nearly three full games due to injury, Johnson finished fifth on the team in tackles last year and led the way regarding pass breakups.
