Houston-area woman accused of killing son, 19

HOUSTON (AP) — A Houston-area woman has been charged with killing her 19-year-old son by shooting him in the head as he sat on a couch after they argued.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday said Nesha Kraidieh has been charged with murder. Further details weren’t immediately available on bond or an attorney for the mother.

The sheriff’s office says Kraidieh told investigators that her son shoved her during the first of two arguments Monday at a residence. She allegedly shot her son while the teen was sitting on a sofa. Phillip Vanshawn Apostolo was declared dead at a hospital.

Investigators did not immediately say why the woman and Apostolo disagreed.
