Man kills parents of estranged wife, self

BEEVILLE, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a Three Rivers man shot the parents of his estranged wife to death before killing himself.

The Corpus Christi Caller-Times reported that 30-year-old Billy Coy Lowe fatally shot 53-year-old Kennie Lynn Rodgers and 49-year-old Retha Ann Rodgers on Friday morning at the parents’ home in the tiny Tuleta community in Bee County (http://bit.ly/pCZacd). Investigators say Lowe then killed himself.

His estranged wife, 25-year-old Reshay Alyn Rodgers, ran screaming and bleeding from her parents’ home to the home of neighbors, who called 911.

Reshay Rodgers, who was shot in the shoulder and neck, was taken to a Corpus Christi hospital, where she underwent surgery. She remained in stable condition. The couples’ 15-month-daughter was unharmed, and she was placed with relatives.
