Dispose of those unused drugs

Local law enforcement, in partnership with IMPACT Ennis and Drug Prevention Resources, will host a Prescription Drug Take Back on Sept. 29. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., officers will be collecting unused and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications for appropriate disposal. To participate, bring unused prescription drugs to a Take Back location. Medications will be accepted at Super One Foods in Ennis, located at 1205 W. Ennis Ave. Pills and liquid medications will be accepted; however, officers will not be able to accept inhalers or injection supplies. The service is anonymous and free of charge. No identification will be required before disposal, and no questions will be asked. For more information regarding the Prescription Drug Take Back, contact one of the partner agencies — the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department at 972-825-4901, Ennis Police Department at 972-875-4462, Ennis ISD Police Department at 972-872-7000, IMPACT Ennis, Drug Prevention Resources, Inc., and Super One Foods.
