District offers summer food


Ennis ISD has a Summer Nutrition Program that is open to children ages 1 to 18 and available free of charge. There are no income requirements or registration required to participate in this program.

The program is held at Carver Early Childhood Center, located at 600 E. Martin Luther King, Monday through Thursday, and wraps Wednesday.

Serving times will be from 7:15 to 7:45 a.m. for breakfast and 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch.

Lunch will also be provided at the Boys and Girls Club, located at 1211 S. Clay, Monday through Friday, until Aug. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, call the EISD Child Nutrition Office at 972-872-7030.
