City solicits master plans

Ennis has reached out for proposals on a comprehensive plan for future community development.

City Manager Chuck Ewings brought forward his intention to pursue a plan for the city earlier this month — his first project as the city’s new administrator. The intention is to guide development and update the last master planning document, which was drafted in 2000. The 20-year roadmap would encompass land use, transportation, neighborhood development, parks and recreation, downtown and economic development and other facets of the city’s future.
