Karol A. Coronel of Dallas and 1st Lt. Wesley Trojacek, USMC of Katy, Texas were united in marriage on July 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Pine Forest Country Club in Houston.
Pastor and United States Marine Dr. Neil “Buzz” Fanion officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Betty Manno of Dallas and Magno Coronel of Ecuador. The groom is the son of Dr. Theresa Trojacek of Katy, Texas and the grandson of late Wesley and Katy Trojacek of Ennis.
The ceremony had a red, white and blue patriotic theme since the wedding was held over the Fourth of July weekend and it involved the United States Marine Corp. Red roses and white hydrangeas were throughout the club. The groom’s cake was decorated with the USMC’s eagle, globe and anchor.
The ceremony involved the bride and groom walking beneath an arch of Marine Corps swords. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Magno Coronel. The maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Stephanie Coronel, who is currently attending Cal Tech University in California. The best man was Lieutenant Colonel Emmett Sterling Huff, United States Marine Corp. (retired) of Houston.
Special guests on the bride’s side were Julian Habibi, 5-year-old son of the bride; the bride’s stepfather, Paul Manno, of Dallas; her brothers, Alex Coronel and Marco Vinicio Coronel, both of Dallas; Fanny Sarango of Jimenez, Spain, and cousin Anita, from Spain; Step brothers of the bride, Joey and Ben Manno of Dallas.
Special guests of the groom were 1st Lt. Zach Hollingsworth, of Ohio and Camp Le Jeune, N.C., and 1st Lt. James Freeman and his son Troy, of California and Camp Pendleton.
Also attending was 1st Lieutenant Raymond Penny and his family of Houston and Camp LeJeune, N.C. Wesley’s aunts and uncles also attended, Joe and Kitty Crow of Ennis and their daughters Annie and Kate. Steve and Cathy Trojacek Mohr of Johns Creek, Ga., and their sons Scott and Austin were also in attendance.
The bride is a recent graduate of the University of North Texas and with a degree in decision science.
The groom is a graduate of Strake Jesuit in Houston, and St. Edwards University in Austin. He completed Officer Candidate School and Basic School with the United States Marine Corp and is based out of Camp LeJeune, N.C. He is presently deployed in Afghanistan. Karol and her son, Julian, are presently living in Camp LeJeune, N.C. and anxiously awaiting Wesley’s return from Afghanistan in late March.
