Lady Lions volleyball falls to Wolves

Mansfield Timberview administered a fifth consecutive setback to a young Ennis varsity volleyball team on Tuesday with a win in straight sets; 25-18, 25-21 and 25-23.

City OKs 2014-15 budget

The Ennis City Commission voted unanimously to approve a roughly $27 million budget on Monday night, while the vote to approve the new fee schedule passed with only one vote against.

Mosquito spraying starts again

The city’s Department of Health Services began three nights of mosquito control spraying on Tuesday, after two mosquito samples taken from separate locations in Ennis tested postive for the West Nile Virus.

Farmers Market seeks sidewalk sale vendors

In conjunction with the Ennis Farmers Market, a city-wide sidewalk sale is planned for Saturday. The event will be highlighted by a bluegrass concert and the appearance of an NHRA funny car.
