Ain’t down Yet

An Ennis soldier, Col. Robert Towens, was among the injured in the Korean War reported nationally in 1950. But his spirits were high as he told a reporter for the Arizona Republic that he wa anxious to get back in the fighting. “The Koreans are fanatical,” he said, “but they’re taking terrific losses, and as soon as we have a little more stuff, we will get them.
