Van Nguyen-A menu with diamonds designed for every occasion, Van Nguyen brings his experience and expertise to Ennis. Personable, witty and with an inspiring story, he is a positive force in town. He came to the United States from Viet Nam during the final airlift at the end of the war. He wound up in Rhode Island working for Balfour Jewelry, the company that makes mostly class rings for high schools and colleges. While working there he trained at Rhode Island School of Design to learn more about design and production of jewelry. After graduating from the school, Mr. Nguyen received a job offer from Jones Diamond and Jewelry in Corsicana. He worked in the store selling and designing jewelry for customers. Four years after beginning work in Corsicana, Jones retired and Nguyen was able to purchase the store. He owned it until 2004 when he retired and returned to Viet Nam. He came back to the States in 2012, and after the birth of his daughter (2014), he opened NWynn’s Jewelers at 1012 E.
