Lion football season tickets on sale this week

Lion football season tickets will be on sale to season ticket holders on Wednesday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday at the Ennis athletic department building (303 W. Knox). All season tickets MUST be picked up by Friday, Aug. 10.

Lion football clinic for ladies only
The Lion football coaching staff will hold a football clinic for ladies only on Saturday, Aug. 4 at the fieldhouse from 9-11:30 a.m. The clinic will include brunch and the opportunity to learn more about the game of football from coach Sam Harrell and the Ennis Lion coaching staff! The cost of the clinic is $20 to be paid on the day of the event. Ladies may call Coach Harrell at 972-872-9885 or send an email to sam.harrell@ennis.k12.tx.us.
Softball pitching clinic coming up
On Saturday, Aug. 4, Redgie Graves will host his X-treme Pitching Clinic at Bluebonnet Park. The cost depends on how many girls sign up: 10-19 girls will make the cost $15 per one-hour session, over 19 girls will make the cost $10 per one-hour session. Each pitcher needs to bring several softballs and a catcher. Pitchers can sign up at www.EnnisGirlsSoftball.com.

Ennis Soccer Association

Registration for the Ennis Soccer Association fall season will continue through Aug. 11.
Parents can sign players up at the Sports Connection. The season will begin on Sept. 8 and registered players will hear from their coach after Aug. 17.
The fee is $60 for the first child and then $50 for each additional child. Parents must also bring a birth certificate when signing their child up.

Ennis Girls Softball Association fall

Registration for the Ennis Girls Softball Association fall league is now underway. The cost is $75 per player and available leagues include 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U. The season will begin on Sept. 20. Check out www.EnnisGirlsSoftball.com.

Football officials needed
The Tyler-Lone Star Chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials is looking for anyone interested in officiating junior high and high school football games in the East Texas area. Meetings are underway. If you are interested, please contact Kevin DeOrnellas at (903) 312-2222.

EJHS girls’
basketball and
volleyball camps scheduled
The EJHS Lady Lion basketball camp will be held from Aug. 7-9. Sessions for seventh grade will take place each day from 9-10:30 a.m. while the eighth grade will go from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
The EJHS Lady Lion volleyball camp will be held from Aug. 14-16. Sessions for seventh grade will take place daily from 9-10:30 a.m. and eighth grade will take over from 10:30 until noon.
The cost for either camp individually is $30, but students may attend both camps for a total of $50. Each camper will receive a T-shirt. For more information, call 972-875-2421.
