Bluebonnet Fest is result of hard work

Last weekend’s Bluebonnet Trails Festival was another huge success and we hope the people of this community appreciate all of the hard work and effort that makes it possible.
This is a very busy time of year for our community, with thousands of visitors traveling to the area to view the beautiful wildflowers that bloom each Spring. While this year’s crop doesn’t quite match the overwhelming number of bluebonnets we enjoyed last year, it’s still a major draw for tourists and more flowers will be blooming in the days to come.
During this busy time, the members of the Ennis Garden Club put it in high gear and organize the Bluebonnet Trails Festival. Since Ennis is known as the Bluebonnet City, it’s important to show off what we have to offer.
Each year, the festival seems to go off without a hitch as visitors and locals alike gather downtown to enjoy live music, arts and crafts, games for the kids and good food for everyone. Yet what many don’t see is all of the hard work and countless hours of preparation that have gone into making it happen.
We understand and appreciate what the Garden Club members do to make this event such a success and source of pride for our hometown each year.
We thank them for all they do and encourage our readers to thank them as well. We’re fortunate to have such hard-working and dedicated individuals who are willing and able to organize such an important and fun event.
