EJH volleyball “B” team takes first place in tournament

The Ennis Junior High seventh grade volleyball “B” team took first place in the Desoto High School tournament Saturday, Sept. 20.
The final results were:
• Ennis defeated Cedar Hill Coleman in two games, 15-3 and 15-8. Kristen Pool served 8 points in a row in the first game. Top servers in the second game were Cathy Kubin (4) and Katy Roote (3).
• Ennis defeated Desoto McCowan in two games, 15-9 and 15-1. Top servers in game 1 were Kristen Pool (3) and Nikel Perkins (3).
• Ennis defeated Desoto East in three games, 25-18, 13-25 and 25-8. Top servers in game 1 were Desirae White (5), Paige Heine (3) and Macie Tapia. The top server in game two was Katy Roote (3). Top servers in game 3 were Nikel Perkins (7), Macie Tapia (4) and Mercedes Castillo (3).
• Ennis defeated Everman in three games, 25-9, 23-25 and 25-18. Top servers in the first game were Kristen Pool (9) and Macie Tapia (4). Top servers in game 2 were Latisha Melendez (5), Cathy Kubin (5) and Carina Hernandez (4). The top servers in game 3 were Kristen Pool (5) and Mercedes Castillo (3).
