Halloween Bash transforms Ennis

For the past several years the annual Goblins and Ghosts Bash has been a wonderful way for children in the community to celebrate the adventure and fun of Halloween in a safe and friendly environment.
The members of the Historic Downtown Merchants Association and the Ennis Chamber of Commerce always go above and beyond to transform Minnie McDowell Park into a creepy and somewhat spooky cemetery. This year will be no exception as the group plans to top their antics of the previous year.
Even with all the work both groups put into the event, it would not be near as successful if local businesses and groups did not step up to donate candy or money to purchase candy.
For the community to help support this kind of event is not only generous it shows the type of people we have living here. This community is made up of people that look out for each other and that is exactly what the downtown Goblins and Ghosts Bash symbolizes. It allows families to enjoy the fun of Halloween and the excitement of dressing up in a safe environment where everyone is not only keeping track of their own kids, but of everyone else’s too. Communities like ours aren’t easy to come by, so for all of us that live here, we need to support what makes the community great and help keep it just the way it is.
We hope everyone will consider donating to the Goblins and Ghosts Bash. Even if it is just one bag of candy, every little bit counts.
We also encourage everyone to come out next week and see the downtown transformed. Wear a costume and be part of the fun. Halloween only comes around once a year so make the best of this opportunity to come together as a community for some safe, family fun and get involved in this year’s event.
