Home tour helps wishes come true

Of all the worthy charities that exist, one of the most touching is the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which helps grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
One local organization, the Circle of Friends, is helping to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation by raising money each year with a local tour of homes. This year’s tour will take place on Nov. 22.
Any effort to help others, whether it is through the United Way, the Relay for Life or another charity, shares the goal of making a difference in another person’s life. This could be anything from providing a warm coat for the winter, to finding a cure for a terrible disease. The Make-A-Wish Foundation touches lives in a very personal and significant way, by reaching out to suffering children. We are glad to see the Circle of Friends group donating their time and resources to help this effort.
The Holiday Tour of Homes they sponsored last year was a big hit with area residents and we know this year’s tour will also be well-attended. It takes place from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 22 and will include four homes. These beautiful homes are located at 4101 Ennis Parkway, 1901 Cedar Ridge Circle, 506 W. Denton Street and 500 W. Ennis Ave. Tickets are $10.
We hope our readers will make plans to attend this year’s Holiday Tour of Homes and help support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We would also like to thank the members of the Circle of Friends for taking on such a worthy cause and for working so hard to raise money to support it.
