Don’t miss out on the Tour of Homes

The quaint feel of the community, the brick streets lining downtown, the eclectic shops in the heart of the city. These are some of the characteristics that make Ennis such a unique place to live.
Another is the historic residences and other interesting home designs in the city limits. This portion of Ennis will be on display this weekend during the Circle of Friends Holiday Tour of Homes.
Taking place Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., four local homeowners will open their doors to allow complete strangers access to peruse the floor plan and view the furnishings of these exquisite sites.
The homes that will allow local citizens access include Stacy and Emil Slovacek at 4101 Ennis Parkway, Susan and Donald Valek at 1901 Cedar Ridge Circle, James and Patricia Youngblood at 506 W. Denton St. and Harriett Adams at 500 W. Ennis Ave.
One of the best parts about the Tour of Homes is that the money raised will go toward fulfilling a local boy’s dream to go to Disneyland through the Make-a-Wish foundation. This is a great opporunity to see some of the beautiful homes we usuallys just admire from the outside. And not only will it be a fun way to spend your time on Saturday, you can take comfort know that you are helping to make a wish come true for local children who are facing life-threatening illnesses.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling the Farmhouse Boutique at 972-875-3855, the Brown Street Café at 972-878-0046 or Lisa Marak Photography at 972-875-1020.
