JV Lion football pounds Panthers for 1-0 start

It’s amazing what a productive offseason can do for a team.
Making up the vast majority of this year’s JV Lion football squad, the 2008 Freshman Lions endured a 0-10 campaign that saw them lose to Midlothian 27-8 and 16-0. On Thursday, those same Lions welcomed the Panthers to Ennis and took a 22-0 lead on the way to a 22-7 victory. Coaches and players alike were quick to mention just how much this success meant to the JV Lions (1-0).
“This was a huge win for us and I think it came from all they did in the offseason — working with kettlebells and The Prowler Workout,” said coach Joe Kostiha.
