A-Division Ennis Lions on hunt for Super Bowl title

After months of hard work, the A-Division Lions of the Ennis Youth Football League have a shot at a Super Bowl title in a matter of hours.
At 12:45 p.m. on Saturday in Lion Memorial Stadium, the Lions (10-1) will take on the Waxahachie Comanches for all the marbles. While the A-Division consists of 10- to 12-year-olds, the Comanches are mainly comprised of 12-year-olds, while the Lions have numerous 10-year-olds and even a couple of nine-year-olds playing up.

“The guys have really improved their knowledge of the game during the season,” said coach Billy McDade.

“I’ve also noticed they’re playing much better as a team now.”
