JV Lady Lions trample Waco U Trojan basketball, 48-12

Visiting Waco University was in great shape up 2-0 on Friday night, and then the Lady Lion JV basketball team scored 48 of the game’s final 58 points.
In fact, Ennis nearly made it through three full quarters before University came up with its second field goal. There are always things a team can do better, but it’s safe to say coach Morgan Moylan approved of what she saw in the 48-12 win.

“I thought the girls played hard and had good attitudes, so I was pleased with their overall effort,” Moylan said.

Ennis couldn’t have spread the wealth any better, as all 11 players on the roster scored. Top performers included Porsche Washington (13 points, rebound), Jalisa Malone (4 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals), Alexis Green (4 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals), Jaquana Gatlin (4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, block) and Aliyah Richard (4 points, 4 rebounds, assist, 3 steals).

“We had to come out strong and we did that,” Washington said.

“I thought everybody played well. We have to remember we’re a team and everybody does their own part by working hard.”
