Hutchison spurs voters

Tuesday is Texas Independence Day as well as Election Day, and at an Ellis County campaign stop, Texas gubernatorial candidate Kay Bailey Hutchison urged voters to let their voices be heard.
She encouraged voters in attendance Tuesday to declare their independence from what she called cronyism taking place in Austin under Gov. Rick Perry.

Hutchison’s bus rolled through downtown Waxahachie as part of her “Declare Your Independence” bus tour. Her campaign held a meet-and-greet at Zula’s Coffee House, and Hutchison spoke to attendees about her plans if elected governor.
