Flores hits ground running on stellar career

In terms of freshman athletes finding success at the varsity level, Omar Flores has put together a run few Lions can compete with in recent Ennis history.
After finishing eighth at the district cross-country meet in the fall and advancing to regionals, Flores took third in the 1,600-meter run at the district track meet earlier this month to qualify for the regional meet next week. A closer look shows he nearly advanced out of district in the 3,200-meter run as well with a fifth-place result.

In both sports, Omar admittedly didn’t know what he was getting into, but so far so good.
