Lion football heads to Red Oak for 7-on-7 action

With the exception of the 2008 season, the Lions have been a running team for some time now.
They still strive to succeed in the pass-intensive world of 7-on-7 football, however, and Tuesday brought a trip to Red Oak. Ennis also faced Midlothian and Lancaster. Coach Wade Bishop was particularly pleased with a certain aspect of the passing game.

“I liked how we were able to get behind the defensive backs of all the teams we played,” Bishop said. “Both Seth (Smith) and Ravi (Dubose) were able to get behind Lancaster’s defensive backs on multiple occasions and their guys are always some of the fastest in the state. Red Oak also has two good (corners).
