Lion tennis blanks another 15-4A opponent

When the district realignment came out last winter, it appeared to be a great thing for Lion tennis.
That’s certainly how things are playing out this far in district play. On Tuesday, Ennis (11-1, 3-0) walloped West Mesquite 10-0. Through three district matches, the Lions have seen Lancaster forfeit while they’ve beaten Terrell and West Mesquite by a combined 20-0 margin.

Many of the team’s individual matches were not completed because Ennis clinched the win over West Mesquite so quickly. In girls’ doubles, Valeria Cochran and Marisela Almanza won 6-4 and 6-2 playing in the No. 1 spot.
