8th Maroon Lions reach new heights, 53-0

The eighth grade Maroon Lions have had one great game after another this year, but Tuesday’s performance may have taken the cake.
Ennis (7-0) scored touchdowns in all three phases of the game to take a 42-0 halftime lead against Forney Brown. The clock ran continuously in the second half and some starters didn’t even play, as the Maroon Lions cruised to a 53-0 victory.

“I thought this was the best game we’ve played in all phases when you look at the fact we got a shutout and scored touchdowns on offense, defense, and special teams,” said offensive coordinator Macy Thompson. “Our execution was great and I was really pleased.”
