Lion basketball steps up to win Scot Classic

Lion basketball had never won the Highland Park Scot Classic before, but it looks like the team may break a lot of new ground this season.
In Saturday night’s championship game against the 5A Stephen F.
Austin Runnin’ Maroons, Ennis took the lead for good in the second quarter, as it withstood a fourth-quarter SFA surge to win 74-63.

“This is a big win against a good 5A school that beat Highland Park and Midlothian by at least 20 (points), so for us to come out here and play well is great,” said coach Jerry Mason. “We still have a lot of guys trying to find themselves and we just want to be ready for that first district game.”
