Red Oak squeaks past Freshman Lady Lions

Ennis basketball had some disappointing outcomes against Red Oak on Tuesday, but the Freshman Lady Lions (3-3) just barely missed out on victory in a 34-30 loss.
“We had plenty of chances (to win) in that game,” said coach David Kilpatrick. “We had some costly turnovers in the fourth quarter, but I thought the kids played hard and that’s a real coachable group. They made some good adjustments during the game. We were short-handed without Jordyn (Seaboalt) and Haven (Libal), but the girls did a good job.”

Quiera Woods led the way with nine points, as Pranee Guinyard added seven. Other scorers included Annesia Holder (6), Nadia Crayton (6), and Vailes (2).
