Backing building for season

High school football is only a short few weeks away in Ennis, and as coach Jack Alvarez made the customary appearance to the Ennis Lions Club on Wednesday, the enthusiasm was contagious.

People in Ennis have a proud history of love for the local program, and that love fuels a strong desire to see the program succeed. Bringing Alvarez on board before the 2011-2012 season got under way brought a lot of expectation, curiosity and questions for perennial supporters of the Lions.
