Finishing bypass will drive future

Thanks and appreciation seem like inadequate returns for State Rep. Jim Pitts and those at the Texas Department of Transportation who have made it possible for the U.S. 287 Bypass project to finally be completed.

No one viewed a two-lane version of the bypass as a final product even when it was first being constructed decades ago. This more than 30-year-old transportation need is finally being met, and Ennis will benefit in ways we can’t even fully comprehend yet.
