Hands and hearts working together

Helping Hands of Ennis has accomplished so much in its 26 years of service to the city and county, helping families in need. Those families are in special need this holiday season, and with shelves depleted at its food pantry and thrift store, this group is hoping that donations from businesses, clubs and individuals will help feed and clothe the needy. The passion of the men and women who volunteer for Helping Hands and who give and give some more has been an inspiration for other charitable associations across the city since 1988. The efforts of the people behind Helping Hands encompass many spheres of local philanthropy. From providing shelter to families in need to comforting the elderly in nursing homes to aiding in the beautification of the city, the many volunteers and organizations have accomplished much for the benefit of others, and are among the finest examples of the spirit of giving that has traditionally defined the men and women of Ennis.
