Letter to the Editor

I would like to personally “thank” Mrs. Tia Hensley and Mrs. Jennifer Howard for their leadership, devotion, creativity, and guardianship over my three granddaughters during their years of serving in the Ennis Lionette organization. Both of you ladies are such fine examples of the kind of young women our girls are hoping to become. Their Lionette experience truly changed the course of their lives in high school, and instilled confidence that I now see in them in their every-day lives. You diligently taught them about hard work, determination, cooperation, memorization, self-esteem, leadership, goal-setting, discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. I am so grateful that your influence has helped mold them into confident and mature young ladies, ready to step into their next phase of adulthood. On behalf of Bethany Reyes (Class of 2016), Larissa Reyes (Class of 2017), and Makenzie Reyes (Class of 2019), I thank you from the bottom of my heart. This “Nanny” is one, proud grandmother! From their try-outs, to football performances, to pep rallies, to drill team and dance competitions, to parades, to Spring Shows, to the special 30th line’s Royal Caribbean cruise – it has been a blast for the girls, their parents (Tank and Buffy Reyes), and their grandparents (Don and Patty Hullett). We love and appreciate you and your hard work! We all send our thanks to the entire Lionette program and the Ennis I.S.D.
