Our Point of View – Spring is in the air

In two weeks the sixth season of the Farmers Market will be set up downtown at the corner of McKinney and Knox streets. All over downtown there is a flurry of activity. Just in time for the Farmers Market, workers have completed the parking lot that is adjacent to the Interior Ideas and the Wildflower Cafe. It will serve as ground zero for area vendors during the seven month season – April through October. The lot, which will also serve customers of the soon-to-open Rooftop 101 bar and restaurant, like the recently leveled Bank-of-America lot and the North Plaza on North Dallas, will all have a similar surface. Marty Nelson, the chairman of the Economic Development Corporation of Ennis, says each will have a new chip seal base and a black slurry coating, not to mention new striping to maximize space for vehicles. That work is currently in progress. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News. Be informed, subscribe today!.
