Search firm needs time to get it right

It’s good to have a more solid idea of when the successor to outgoing City Manager Steve Howerton will be able to take the reins of the city’s operations.

With Howerton set to leave by the end of this year and a period of time to follow without a city manager in that office, Ennis will look to the heads of the departments in this community to make the best sense of their work up to such time when new leadership is here.
