Solutions will require undivided attention

State education leaders and stakeholders continue to watch closely the ministrations of the state Legislature as it works on a financing deal.

From local officials’ point of view, expressed Tuesday at a special called meeting of the Ennis Independent School District Board of Trustees, some of the changes proposed by both chambers of the Legislature are good, but each plan also offers hard pills to swallow.
