Teamwork will be key to transition

The Ennis Independent School District needs unity and teamwork after Tuesday’s board meeting and the announcement of the departure of Superintendent Barbara Qualls.

Over the last four years, the tones of the district has been set by the directives and leadership decisions that have come from the office of the superintendent. Without that force at the head of the administration of our local schools, we come into the final weeks before the new school year with more questions than answers for those who depend on the district for their livelihoods and are tasked with the well-being of Ennis children.
