Trump’s aid to farmers proves tariffs not viable

President Donald Trump’s declaration that trade wars are easy to win failed to mention one problem. How long term tariffs would affect business and the economy in general. It’s pretty evident even over a short period of time just how costly they are. Now, in response to the president’s imposition of tariffs, China, the European Union and Canada are responding with retaliatory tariffs of their own. These tariffs are calculated to hit specific American industries, including agriculture. So this week, the Trump administration moved to mitigate some of the damage to America’s farming industry with a little government largesse that it promises is only temporary. We are starting to see to see the real result of this administration’s implementation of tariffs and what it’s doing to the economy and businesses in general. Trump’s $12 billion in aid via proves that this move is only hurting and not helping and nothing more than posturing by the president to scare the countries and unions mentioned above.
