Truth follows some, others by questions


Texas Sixth Congressional District has seen just one representative since 1985, Ennis’ Joe Barton. Since the actions, in-congruent of a congressman led, to his decision to not seek an eighth term, the floodgates of candidates has widened to sixteen. The race for Barton’s seat has perhaps been the top local political story of the year. Long filled by the Republican, there are now five Democrats and eleven Democrats vying for the position. Some are well known while others have fought for votes the old fashioned way, earning them. Sixteen are contending for place on the May 22 runoff, unless any can garner more than 50 percent on Tuesday’s March 6 election. Several of them are rising in support and popularity according pundits and polls. Here are my insights, offered for your consideration.
