Use your head for Fourth of July fun

With the Fourth of July bearing down on us, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that the outstanding rules that ban the use of fireworks inside the city limits will be broken.

Further, a county-level ban that has been instituted on the use fireworks and open burns adds another layer of prohibition on the activity.

That probably burns up quite a few youngsters who had their hearts set on a fireworks display in their backyard. The bottom line, however, is that for more than two decades, Ennis has taken a no-nonsense approach to dealing with pyrotechnics.
